Like any other appliance, regular upkeep can help extend the life of your wall oven or range. In this blog, wer'e exploring easy and snazzy oven cleaning tips.
#1 Cleaning the inside of the oven
Get back to basics with baking soda and vinegar. Remove everything from inside the oven including racks, pizza plates etc.
Mix 1/2 a cup of baking soda with few tablespoons of water.
Spread the paste on the inside of the the oven. Make sure you don't touch any of the heating elements.
Rub in the baking soda with gloves.
Let it sit overnight (approx 12 hours).
Next morning, grab a damp dish cloth and wipe the baking soda down. If you have tougher stains, use a spatula to scrape it out.
Fill up vinegar in a spray bottle and spritz inside the oven. You will notice that it starts to foam.
Wipe down the foam with damp cloth until it's completely cleaned.
Your oven should be shiny by the time you're done with this!
#2 Cleaning Oven Racks
There are two simple options:
Option 1: Fill up your tub with hot water. Add 1/2 cup of dishwashing soap or a 3/4 cup laundry detergent. Let it sit overnight. In the morning, scrub the oven racks with dish towel. They should be sparkling clean.
Option 2: Sprinkle the magical concoction of baking soda and vinegar. Once the foaming stops, put in your bathtub filled with hot water. Let it sit overnight. For the stubborn and grimy stains, add salt to toothbrush to make the scrubbing more abrasive. Wipe down with dish towel and viola!!
