We replaced a KitchenAid waste disposer that we had used since we built our home 18 years ago. So, our only option was another KitchenAid. We went with the same HP rating and we chose this model because of its stainless steel construction and its outstanding durability. But the biggest feature of this unit is how quiet it is. We love it and it can handle a variety of food with ease. We could not have made a better choice.

I love how quiet this garbage disposal is, especially considering our kitchen is directly adjacent to my son's nursery. This is our second one (new house), and it has been a reliable and powerful appliance that we would feel lost without.
