I bought this about 6 mo ago. Works beautifully. BAGS fit perfectly. However, you must line them up so you can latch the bag to the unit. Whirlpool supplied bags do have a smell, so I will probably buy a different brand when these run out. If you throw out liquid, then line the bottom with a thick bag, or the liquid will spill out of the bottom of the bag. If you trash items with a strong odor, put them in separate plastic bags so the smell will be contained. I know have 1-bag to trash vs 8-10per week!!!

My old one, that came with this house 4 years ago was so dirty that I could not get it clean to my satisfaction, it still worked, but I got a new CLEAN one anyway.
