We bought this about a week ago and there’s not much to complain about. The features are nice and all the dishes come out clean and DRY even the containers. We do use the recommended Cascade pods and rinse aid. Only complaint is it’s on the louder side while running. However I’d take the noise any day It’s better than having to hand dry containers.

This Is A Very Good Dishwasher, if used correctly. Manuals tell you specs and etc, but never tell how you to use the EXACT model you purchased to it's best potential. All dishwashers are different. WDT730PAHZ: I've had KitchenAid, Kenmore Elite and Miele and I have to say this Whirlpool, used correctly, is the best overall. I mean, real clean dishes. Here is the key: 1. Best Result - use Normal Wash, Hi Temp and Heat Dry = Wonderful! Long, but also energy efficient. 2. 1 Hour wash is par/ok for quick result. No high temp or sani option on the 1 hr wash option so result is not like, I repeat, not like 1. Also uses way more energy crammed into 1 hr. 3. Sani. Oh, that sani feature everyone craves. Reality - not really needed in daily use (except perhaps baby bottles, canning, etc.). Use sani only when needed. Always using sani temp can also work against some glasses, etc over time. A friend has the white Whirlpool portable on this site. And wow, it is the best portable I ever saw. I mean, if you want portable, this is the portable to buy. No sani (downer), but it has 1 hr wash with hi temp option. But, 1 hr and high temp uses a very high amount of energy just to save and hour. So, considering all these eco regulations now and trying to make a good dishwasher, the WDT730PAHZ achieves this. Again, statement 1 = You get the same result as the heavy duty portable, it takes longer, but waaay cheaper energy bills. Effective, drawn out cycle for a reason: stellar results with moderate energy use. My friend said when I first got it "I like your 730 because it's nicer and has sani. I said "yours has high temp with the 1 hr cycle." She said "I love my portable, but I'd rather wait 2 hours for the exact same clean and sparkling results with yours, and have a sani option and way cheaper power bills!". I said "... I see!" Oh, life!
