At last there's someone in the house who likes to clean.

At last there's someone in the house who likes to clean. Cleaning the oven by hand can be very exhausting and time-consuming. Thanks to our new double ovens with the integrated self-cleaning function Pyrolysis, you can now save yourself this task for good - in both ovens. Without getting your hands dirty or using any chemical cleaning products. Just press "Start" and your oven will - depending on the degree of soiling - heat up to max. 480(degree)C and burn away any grease or food residues. All that's left for you is a bit of ash, which is easily removed. This way, your double oven not only makes the meal a true delight, but also the follow-up cleaning.

Control panel is sluggish and frustrating to use

The oven is great; however, the control panel is a glass touch screen that is slow to respond to your touch. You must hold you finger on the temperature 'button' for a second before it starts adjusting. It goes in 5 degree increments each time you touch it so you need to tap it 10 times to go up 100 degrees and wait 1 second between each tap. If you hold your finger on the button, it will start moving up in 5 degree increments which is great except after a about 25 degrees it suddenly starts moving VERY fast and you over shoot your temperature. When you remove your finger it keeps going up a few notches before it stops because it's so sluggish. It's like they Tried to make it Frustrating to use. On the upside, it's easy to keep clean. I would have preferred a knob because with a knob you can instantly set it to the temperature you want instead of using this frustrating touch panel interface. The oven has other great features like pull-outs on bearings for easy sliding, a hidden bottom heating element and a nice oven light, but the frustrating temp control makes it all worthless. How in the world did this get past their user testing (if they did any.) Now I’m stuck with this oven for the next 10 years. Ugg.

Quality oven, UI problems

So we had to replace our Whirlpool double electric wall oven as it failed and there were no replacement parts available. We had wanted to get a Bosch and this was available, a key thing during the pandemic and waiting a month with a dead oven already. My wife liked the look of the knobs, so we went with this unit. ApplianceLand did the installation, no problems there. I like the hidden heating elements (much easier to clean). However, the user interface is worse than our previous oven. The knobs control whether each oven is on or off, so having the timer (which is a single timer for both ovens) go off does not turn anything off. This works in our favor more than it doesn't, so I'm just pointing this out. As many of attested, using those +/- buttons to get to the desired value is always a challenge, and fairly inefficient. Is this a big deal? No, but it could have been better. Also, there's no timer to tell you when the oven pre-heating will be done. Also not a major issue as once you do it, you can remember how long it took. This does seem to take about 10, 20% longer to pre-heat than the old one though. The biggest thing we noticed, though, is how the top of the oven (the control surface) gets pretty warm once the oven is done and the fans turn off. This is just heat bleeding off once the exhaust fans (which are louder than what we had) are done, but it was noticeably warm there. Overall, we're happy with the oven and will get used to the quirky UI. But if any of these things I've mentioned are ones you care about, you may want to get the 800 series or something else.

We've had this oven for 3 years. The fan is extremely loud, temperature and timer are cumbersome to set, one of the digits on the display faded to barely visible within the first 2 years, but we've just lived with it. Also, we recently had a power outage, and have an automatic generator that kicked in. The oven was not on when we had the outage. The next day we noticed the time was off by about 5 minutes despite having reset it. The day after that, we went to turn on the oven and neither top nor bottom oven would heat. Needless to say we were beside ourselves that our 3 year old oven wasn't working. We then decided to turn the electric breaker for the oven off and then on again. Fortunately, that seems to have fixed the issue. Fingers crossed. But since the oven was not on at the time of the outage, it should not have caused any problem with the oven. We had a different brand oven in our last home and decided to try Bosch in this house due to their reputation. The other brand was very easy use and we did not have any issues after power outages.

I am very please with the simplicity of this oven, which was my goal. It is sleek with more dark glass than stainless steel. The only suprise is that is does not have the convection feature. Whoops. Not adeal breaker for me but, I wish I had been advised.

Decided to get all Bosch appliances for our kitchen remodel. These ovens don't disappoint. Preheating doesn't take too long, and temperatures check out accurately. Easy to wipe clean, and we really like the combination of both knobs and digital operation/display. High quality feel, look, and well worth the higher expense. The only thing I would've done differently is to get swing-open doors as it's long reach for me with pull-down doors. Don't think this was an option with this model though. Other than that, love them and highly recommend.
