Top Mount Refrigerators

Top mount refrigerators are the most common type of refrigeration. The fridge is split in two compartments. The top compartment is the freezer and the lower compartment is for fresh food. If you are one of those who loves to peek into your freezer frequently and stare for hours, this is probably your type of refrigerator. Meat lovers, ice cream addicts, and frozen fries obsessors will appreciate this type of refrigerator. The freezer is usually available with wider refrigerator shelves. These refrigerators have been around for a long time, and are generally cheaper than their counterparts.

Bottom Mount Refrigerators

Bottom mount refrigerators are newer in the market compared to the top mount. Similarly, they have split compartments with fresh food on top and freezer compartment below. Fresh veggies, crisp fruits and dairy lovers, this is your kind of refrigerator! If you consume more fresher foods than frozen foods, it is easier to access it as most of it is at eye level. For freezer foods, it gives you a better vantage point to scan the foods because it is located right below you. These refrigerators are modern and can provide a more contemporary or untraditional feel to your kitchen design. The cons to this type is that they are more expensive and might have less storage space.
