Make your white clothes white again!

If you have a lot of white garments, you probably have noticed at some point that it is not as white as it used to be. It's probably faded over time. We have put together 4 simple hacks to get those sad old whites happy again.

Baking Soda

As you already know, baking soda is a very useful household product for just about anything including restoring your old white clothes. In a sink, mix 4 liters of warm water with 1 cup of baking soda. Make sure that the baking soda dissolves and the whole garment is submerged. Let it soak for about 8 hours. Rinse.

Aspirin

Alternatively, take (5) 325mg aspirin tablets and combine it with 2 gallons of hot water. Make sure you crush the aspirin before you stir it in the water. Soak your clothing in this mixture for about 8 hours. Rinse.

Toothpaste

This is a great method for really old and dingy white garments that you want to bring to life. Combine a full tube of baking soda and peroxide whitening toothpaste with 1/2 cup of baking powder, 1/4 cup of salt and 2 cups of white vinegar. Whisk until the mixture begins to rise. Let the garment soak for 3 to 4 hours and the rinse with cool water.

Lemon Juice

Grab a stockpot and fill it with water. Add 2 to 3 slices of lemon. Bring the pot to boil over heat. Turn off the heat, add your garment and let it soak for a hour in lemon water.Rinse. Lemons are great for removing stains. Just put lemon juice on the stain and scrub it with a toothbrush. Let it sit for 10 minutes and rinse.
