i bought one in 2017, this might be the new predecessor, beware! i purchased through abt it was a 31.8 cu if i can remember correctly. i've had numerous amounts of times they came to replace a fan or such and the last straw was recently when my refrigerator would not stay cold anymore and told my dye system was out. i would have to pay over a $1000 to fix this fridge that was now "obsolete" and supposedly samsung would not do anything for me anymore even outside of my extended warranty. went to abt to purchase another (lg) i'm dreading! it just arrived yesterday but i might have to bite the bullet and go back for this new one because nothing else is like it as far as style and true usability. i love samsung and all of the life style gadgets they provide, but thissss #frustratedsamsunguser

this is our second samsung fridge, and both have the same issue... icemaker fails. why can't samsung use technology that even the cheapest manufacturer knows works? samsung icemakers make frosty ice that doesn't dispense well, freeze up, then quit working right after the warranty expires.

purchased in 9/17, stopped working by 10/21. it still had a 5yr warranty on sealed system and a 10/5yr on the inverter compressor, but samsung said it was out of warranty. they finally agreed it was still covered. the authorized service center called but samsung told them the warranty expired, and that i needed to call samsung. a repairman came out under my home warranty diagnosed a compressor/sealed system issue. the samsung replacement parts did not fix it, and the 4yr old refrigerator is now garbage. samsung is willing to charge top dollar but does not stand behind the quality their warranty. i need to replace the refrigerator, but never with another samsung. if looking for a refrigerator that will last more than 4 years, don’t look at samsung.
Finally gave up on the ice maker!

purchased this fridge in 2017, along with a samsung stove and samsung dishwasher. the stove and dishwasher bit the dust within 2 years, and we replaced them with bosch. we have now replaced the ice maker on this fridge 3 times, and it just froze over again. we give. just ordered a ge profile fridge.

this is by far the worst purchase i haev ever made. every month the ice maker has to be defrosted. it is 2021, my grandmother defrosted in the 70's. but three times now it has totally stopped cooling in the freezer. a loss of hundreds of dollars of food. but the first time the tech said it ran out of coolant and samsung designed it in a way it did not have a valve to fill it. he installed a valve. the next two times, including right now, no issues have been found. clean it all out and then magically it begins working again. samsung does nothing about the defective parts for the ice maker. literally nothing. there are thousands of reviews about this ice maker online and samsung refuses to issue a recall.
