This is my second Kitchenaid refrigerator. My previous one was 18 cubic feet. I bought it Sept.24, 1993. (Yes, I keep receipts.) My previous one was so excellent,( It was still operational when I replaced it. I replaced it because I believed it was time to do so.). I refused to buy any brand but Kitchenaid. This one is roomy, elegant, spacious and sturdy inside. The bottom freezer drawer is a champ. It is easy to open and use. I am glad that I held out for a Kitchenaid. My only complaint is the meat keeper drawer in the refrigerator. is unsupported when I open the drawer. It drops, unlike the crisper drawers which are supported.

We really like the fridge. The bottom drawer is a little hokey. When you pull it all the way out it drops down as you're pulling it. Otherwise we really, really like our entire KA appliance package.

We purchased this fridge as part of a 5 piece appliance package after remodeling our kitchen. We have had French door fridges in the past so we were anxious to try a bottom freezer one door fridge. We were pleased from day one! There is no space taken up by the ice maker in the door leaving ample room for food for our family of four. I love the handles too! The ice maker (purchased separately) makes a generous amount of ice and the freezer is spacious. We love it!

We bought the first KitchenAid 10 years ago. It died, which seems early for a major appliance. Because of our cabinet size, we could only replace old KitchenAid with a new one. The new KitchenAid is a terrible "upgrade." It no longer has a water dispenser, the ice maker costs extra, there are fewer shelves on the door. We are not happy with the new KitchenAid.
