we had really high hopes with this machine. it gave us problems from the very beginning. it had a faulty motherboard, broken drum belt and excessive rubbing which caused damage to the drum because the roller fell out of bulkhead. had issues w/in 6 mos. of the purchase. recently, the drum was hanging too low which caused it to scrape against the inner lining of the which eventually led to a ton of black marks and holes in clothes. messed up a ton of clothes. we went to get a new machine but our warranty from bought an lg today! it is truly the worst product my wife and i have purchased since getting married in 2004.

we bought the washer dryer set 5 years ago and have had several problems with both units. regarding the dryer, after 3 years we had to replace the dryer belt and idler pulley because the drum was not spinning. this is a known issue as we found several complaints about this problem. at 4 years we started noticing a gas smell when the machine was off. we did the bubble test on the outside line, checked the lint trap and had repair specialists come. the last repairman told us that the gas valve needed to be replaced. cost for this is over $400 with parts and labor. that is more than 50% the cost of a new machine, so it makes no sense to repair it. we will be getting a new unit, but it will not be a samsung product.

it's obvious that i will likely never get a response back from samsung but nevertheless, i will leave my comment for others to see and cease any purchase from samsung in the future. to keep it short, i had a brand new home, bought this washer and gas dryer set (wasn't cheap) in november 2018. six months ago, it started running on its own while off. the only way to turn it off is to unplug it. i ended up finding a ton of videos online that showed me what the problem was. it is the main circuit board inside one of the big relays where there is a small piece of metal that keeps acting up. so, every day now, i have to tap on the box that houses the circuit board to get the metal piece to switch back.

Wrinkle Release Feaure

one feature that was very important to us was the wrinkle release feature. extremely disappointing. the clothes lie on the paddles during the cycle and do not tumble. they are more wrinkled than when we put them in. very frustrating. would not recommend.
