Oven is great but Microwave is intermittent.

We moved into our house 10 months ago and the seller had this micro/oven combo put in. The house sat empty for over a year. The oven part works great but the microwave has been intermittent. It heats about 30% of the time and there is a rattle when works. We did not buy the micro/oven but the unit was never used as the papers were still inside when we moved in. The oven was made Dec 2015 and the 1 year warranty was up and we were under the 5 year warranty. The warranty will cover certain parts and no labor. We called the warranty department and they sent out a tech from a local company. The repairs were $598.14 The only part that the warranty would pay for is the magnatron. The tech said it may not be all the repairs and would not know until these parts are installed. I paid the $115 call out fee and did not get it fixed. Will need to decide what to do. I am disappointed in Kitchen Aid and this product. It evidently did not work from the start. For the price of this unit you would think it would be more reliable.

The cooking options are extensive with innovative features that allow easy convection cooking, crisping in microwave. Broils perfectly. Beautiful display, sleek design. Microwave is large but oven is what you would expect for the size. Love the easy glide, durable racks. The timer notification should be louder--as it can't be heard outside of the kitchen. A little noisy with fan which goes on for a long while after microwave cooking complete or when oven is cooling.

Order #0708089455 --- Product Item Ordered: KOCE500ESS I have attached a picture of the advertised item and also the actual product I received. You will notice that the item I received does not have all the advertised features for the microwave/top oven. I received all the accessories to be used with the features, but my oven is missing the features needed/advertised. The oven has all the available buttons on the control panel, but does not contain the corresponding features. I also get an error message when trying to use "crisp" or "convection" features.
