clear No, I would not recommend this to a friend
I bought this two weeks ago and it still is not working. The first service call guy didn't have the part and the second guy never called or showed up. I have been dealing with Whirlpool directly and would think they would make more effort with customer service. At this time I am unhappy with the purchase and question the quality of the product.

I bought this oven to replace my 14 year old oven (also a Whirlpool - model # RDB245PDB12). This was an exact fit replacement and didn't require any cabinet modifications whatsoever. The control panel is very nice and easy to use.

The oven bakes well but takes too long to preheat - 15 minutes to get to 350. It is also very sensitive to opening the door which one must do to test a cake baking. The temp goes from 350 to 335 in a matter of seconds and starts preheating again.
