Study Shows Percentage of Homeowners Planning for Appliances in 2012
Sat May 05 2012
Recently a report on ApplianceMagazine.com stated that 70 percent of Americans will be sprucing up their homes in 2012. That's quite an astounding number if you think about it. The report also goes further into the statistics of home improvement and states that on average, 58 percent plan to remodel indoors and 35 percent plan to remodel outdoors. And more than likely the rooms that will be remodeled are indoor kitchens and outdoor living spaces that may also include a kitchen.
So it is not surprising that 28 percent of all homeowners doing these home renovations in 2012 plan on buying appliances, and on average, plan to spend around $705. However, the percentage is higher among affluent homeowners. 34 percent of affluent homeowners doing home improvement in 2012 plan to buy appliances. Their average planned spending budget is $1195.
