Happy Thanksgiving Day
Thu Nov 24 2011
This is the day we take time to be still and give thanks for the blessings in our lives. We often times get too busy and move too fast to notice the every day blessings – kind words from family and friends, the freedom of living in the US, a smile from a stranger, the wonder of nature. Then something tragic happens. A parent has a stroke, is hanging on by grace and your world stops. Every day, though so difficult, reminds you of how precious and delicate life is.
You become stronger, more thankful for the “little” things in life and more in tune to the blessings bestowed upon you. Through your experience, those around you also become more thankful for what they have, even the small blessings they’ve taken for granted – the ability to communicate, to walk, to eat. Today, on Thanksgiving, we hope that all of you can take time to be still and thankful.
