Mountain High Appliance Keeps Its Heart In Colorado
1993
It's 1993, and Brad Barnett decided to take a leap of faith that would result in creating Colorado's most complete appliance retail resource. He had been repairing and selling appliances out of his garage before seeing the opportunity to expand and began selling new appliances through a dealer agreement with Whirlpool and Viking. A 1900 square foot showroom was soon opened in Louisville, CO and then expanded to 12,000 sq. ft., so he could install beautifully designed, fully functional LIVE kitchens. Brad's industry-groundbreaking Try- Before-You-Buy Experience was begun. This flagship location is still in operation today.
2011
In 2011, to serve the mountain communities, a showroom and staff were established in Glenwood Springs, CO. MHA still serves the builder community and retail clientele with professional sales staff and a dedicated delivery and installation crew.
2012
2012 brought an opportunity to acquire another family owned business, "Shouse Appliance", who had been serving Colorado Springs, CO for nearly 60 years. Brad took over this business, remodeled the entire showroom and outfitted the location with a dedicated professional appliance retail staff. This destination for kitchen appliance aficionados remains at its original Academy Blvd. location today.
2018
Growth continued for Mountain High Appliance with a new 84,000 square foot warehouse and office space which opened in February and then was soon expanded to include a new larger clearance center later that year. In September Mountain High Appliance opened up their largest 15,000 square foot showroom representing the best display for top-of-the-line appliances in the best live setting available to serve the Colorado Market.
